Behind the scenes, the unsung heroes of our SEI&O support services maintain high availability and performance of the critical infrastructures Federal agencies rely on. Often unseen and unheard, our technicians, administrators and engineers ferociously execute and relentlessly pursue excellence for our customers, resulting in uninterrupted operations. Our expertise combines a deep understanding of network backbone infrastructure and data center operations/cloud provisioning services with enterprise architectures for distributed services around the world. We provide support encompassing all phases of a complex engineering system life cycle, which includes requirements engineering, hardware/software and COTS/GOTS integration, Systems Engineering Project Management, and logistical trade analysis comprised of holistic capabilities to manage end-to-end service operations.
Process standardization and performance repeatability are our strongest methods of managing successful, consistent outcomes. We draw on ITILv3 best practices for IT service management that informs a common framework for engaged team performance. We take ownership of high quality performance outcomes by drawing on our disciplined Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)-based program management methodology as evidenced by our record priming 90.5% of our active contracts.
Phacil’s tried, tested and proven track record of delivering engineering and operations solutions include the following key successes:
U.S. Air Force (USAF)
Phacil is currently undertaking the complete overhaul, redesign, and upgrade of the mission critical communications subsystem (CMSS) Network, a US Air force effort at the Modernization Eastern Range Network (MEN). This entails designing an upgraded system integration environment between the modernized network and 10 subsystems comprising the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS). As a major mission systems modernization effort, we support launch operations and missile launch tracking involving a broad range of data, voice and video information processing systems.
National Science Foundation (NSF)
In support of NSF’s Office of Information & Resource Management (OIRM) enterprise IT services, we support NSF’s mission to advance science, national health, prosperity, welfare, and defense. In support of Information Systems, Human Resource Management, and logistical functions for the NSF community, we perform approximately 80,000 backup jobs per month. This ensures that mission-critical data is secure and available to NSF’s 300,000 business application end users, including scientists, engineers, educators, and civilians.
U.S. Army One Source (AOS)
In late July 2014, Melissa Ginnard, after months of no contact with her son (one of America’s dedicated warfighters), reached out to our AOS Program Support Specialist. Our team confirmed the location of her son in his unit, and provided Government-approved contact information so she could contact him. Phacil’s management of the AOS web portal she used provides relevant, quality data to 300,000 users across the globe in a highly available and secure manner. To support these capabilities, Phacil manages the portal’s performance and its supporting infrastructure, which enables 30 million hits and750,000 page views per month through a 99.9% available site.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
DHS Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enterprise Operations Support Services (EOSS) is supporting mission services that promote public safety through law enforcement relative to immigration and border control. Our DHS ICE team maintains 99.9% availability of a broad infrastructure for 28,000 agents and administrators globally deployed. The supported infrastructure is comprised of nearly 2,000 servers, and over 40,000 systems, which support periphery devices managed by an integrated team of administrators, specialists, engineers, and management.
