Phacil Appraised at CMMI Level 3

Phacil, a leading provider of technology solutions to the Federal Government, announced today that it has been appraised at Maturity Level 3 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® for Development (DEV). The appraisal, performed by Two Harbors Consulting, was based on Phacil’s performance and support for United States Air Force (USAF) Modernization Eastern Range Network (MEN) Program for the Launch Test Range System (LTRS) Eastern Range. The appraisal examined the program, personnel management, software development and enhancements, process improvements support of USAF MEN. CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.

Phacil was successfully rated at Maturity Level 3 across 18 different process areas including Configuration Management, Decision Analysis and Resolution, Product and Process Quality Assurance, Requirements Development, Verification, Validation and Risk Management, to name just a few. An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates Phacil is performing at a “defined” level, where our processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. Phacil’s set of standard processes, which are the basis for maturity level 3, have been established and improved over time.
