Phacil Beefs Up Executive Team with Experienced Industry Veterans< Back to news
Phacil, an award-winning company delivering leading technology solutions to the Federal Government, announced today the hiring of four experienced industry veterans to the Executive roster.
“We’ve spent much of the last several quarters challenged with seamlessly transitioning new contracts and absorbing our astonishing growth from 2013,” stated Phacil Chief Executive Officer Tom Shoemaker. “Part of that challenge has been identifying exceptional industry veterans and executives to round out our leadership team. With that team now in place, we’re very bullish about the future for all our employees, customers, and this Company.”
Phacil’s new executive hires include Mr. Mark Cabrey, Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Kerri Koss Morehart, Chief Human Resource Officer, Mr. Paul Krauss, Vice President of New Markets, and Mr. Joseph Miller, Vice President and Senior Program Manager.
Mr. Mark Cabrey joins Phacil from URS/Apptis, where he was the Corporate Controller when Apptis was acquired by URS in June of 2011. With an additional 20 years of experience across multiple disciplines and markets at Unisys, he brings Phacil the finance, accounting, contracts experience and leadership skills required to take the firm to the next level. “It has been refreshing and eye-opening to come into a firm that has not only seen great success in the federal market, but done so with discipline around financial controls, cash management and contract administration. The firm is certainly well positioned and infrastructure ready for continued success in the future,” stated Mr. Cabrey.
New Chief Human Resources Officer Ms. Kerri Koss Morehart has over 20 years of HR experience, most recently as Vice President of Human Resources at Pragmatics. Prior to her time at Pragmatics, Ms. Morehart served as Vice President and Director for SRA International and Fannie Mae respectively. “It’s very exciting to come to a firm with so much energy. The entrepreneurial spirit among all Phacilians is truly unique, and a testament to where the Company is going. I am extremely excited to be a part of this new phase of Phacil’s future,” said Ms. Morehart.
Mr. Paul Krauss joins Phacil from Pragmatics and SRA International. He comes to Phacil with nearly 30 years of business and technical experience in the full and open sector of the market. “Phacil is well positioned, with the right vehicles, market presence, past performance, quality rankings, and a second-to-none proposal team. We are optimistic about Alliant Enterprise and EAGLE II given our success to date winning full and open task orders and our relationships across the Department of Homeland Security,” said Mr. Krauss.
Mr. Joseph Miller rounds out the leadership team as Vice President and Senior Program Manager. Mr. Miller joins Phacil with over 20 years of operational experience with SRA International and Pragmatics, serving as Vice President and Program Manager on several complex IT and infrastructure contracts. “It’s very exciting to join a team so focused on operational excellence and customer service. Having attained over 50 All-Exceptional CPARs in the past few years, it’s easy to see why our Company is positioned so well for the future,” said Mr. Miller.
To accommodate its growing headquarters staff, Phacil will more than double its office space beginning June 2, with a new address and corporate headquarters located at 800 North Glebe Road, Suite 700, Arlington, VA 22203.
“These are very exciting times for Phacil,” said Phacil President Michael McDermott. “The ethos of the firm, ‘Service, Commitment, and Excellence’ is serving us well and creating the foundation for years of success. Every day, we move further toward achieving our vision of Phacil 2020. Though we have our work cut out for us, we’re poised to meet those challenges now more than ever.”
