Phacil Appraised at CMMI Level 3

Phacil, a leading provider of technology solutions to the Federal Government, announced today that it has been appraised at Maturity Level 3 of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® for Services plus Service System Development (SVC+SSD). The appraisal, performed by Abridge Technology, was based on Phacil’s performance and support for United States Forest Service’s (USFS) Resource Ordering and Status System (ROSS) and is in addition to the CMMI for Development Maturity Level 3 appraisal conducted in July of 2015. The appraisal examined the program, personnel management, software development and enhancements, process improvements and Tier 3 Help Desk development in support of ROSS. CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.

CMMI Level 3 for Services
Phacil was successfully rated at Maturity Level 3 across 20 different process areas including Configuration Management, Decision Analysis and Resolution, Product and Process Quality Assurance and Risk Management, to name just a few. An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates Phacil is performing at a “defined” level, where our processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods. Phacil’s set of standard processes, which are the basis for maturity level 3, have been established and improved over time.
