Phacil, Inc., an award-winning, ISO 9001:2008 registered government contractor, announced today that it has attained ISO 9001:2008 registration. Phacil has joined a leading group of companies making an early transition to this newer ISO standard, asking external auditors last month to base their audit on the more exacting set of requirements of ISO 9001:2008
The revised standard makes important improvements in managing software, monitoring service quality, measuring customer satisfaction, and producing effective corrective actions. Previously, Phacil had an ISO 9001:2000 registered quality system in place to provide a solid framework for the highest level of service support to our customers.
“Having an outside organization audit our quality management processes to the most current standards, and certify our achievement, is a credit to the entire Phacil team,” stated Dr. O’Neill. “This is an accomplishment consistent with Phacil’s commitment to continuous improvement and to superior customer service.”
Phacil Co-Founder Sascha Mornell added, “With our assiduous efforts to set up and maintain quality processes throughout the Company from the very beginning, we always believed that our processes were up there with companies of the highest quality ratings. The ISO 9001:2008 registration is a significant validation of what we had always believed.”
Phacil is next embarking on attaining CMMI certification, which would make it one of only a few small businesses in the US with both ISO 9001:2008 registration and CMMI certification.
