Phacil, Inc., an award-winning, ISO9001:2000 registered Government Contractor, announced today that GSA officially awarded the Company the Alliant Small Business Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (SB GWAC). The five year contract, with a five year option, has a program ceiling of $15 billion. GSA originally awarded Phacil the Alliant contract in December 2007. However, after the Court of Federal Claims deemed the initial awarding process faulty and arbitrary, the Government was required to reevaluate the technical and cost/price portions of the Alliant offers. GSA completed the reevaluation of Alliant Small Business proposals and announced on December 18, 2008 that 72 organizations, including Phacil, submitted the most highly qualified offers.

The Alliant SB GWAC contract is designed to provide worldwide information technology solutions to federal agencies while strengthening opportunities in federal contracting for small businesses. It is a competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity set-aside small business contract. Among Alliant’s benefits to federal clients include small business credit, pre-competed and easy-to-use contracts, short procurement lead time, availability of training and support from the Alliant SB GWAC acquisition team, limited protestability, and low user fees built into contractors' ceiling prices.
